Cloverdale Baptist is a beautiful church located in a historic district of Montgomery, Alabama. One of the great ministries is the Cloverdale Preschool Academy. Today, I got to attend a wonderful Christmas program with some of the most precious children anywhere! I met some great families that I look forward to getting to know and serving. It was wonderful to see so many in the sanctuary enjoying the sounds and sights of the season!
A BIG thanks to Sharmen Nall and her staff! They are fantastic! I can see why so many want to be part of this preschool. Great facilities, resources, and personnel make for a very successful preschool academy. I am looking forward to working with this staff, encouraging them as they teach the precious gift called children.
My excitement is growing each day as I prepare to serve as pastor of Cloverdale. The more people I meet, the ministries I observe, and the community I am learning help my anticipation of what God is going to do to swell. I have been encouraged that there are many young families as well as "seasoned" families in the community that need a church home. Cloverdale IS that home! January 12, 2020 will be my first "official" Sunday as Senior Pastor. I can't wait!
I am asking you to pray for Cloverdale Baptist and for me as we come together for great ministry for the Kingdom! Pray that we will seek the Lord in every step. Pray that God will bring new families and individuals our way that need the Lord. Pray that God will bring Christian families to join us in reaching this community for the cause of Christ! Pray for laborers in the field to step up and serve with a passion. AND if YOU are looking for a place to join in wonderful worship and service to the Lord, I invite you to be our guest at Cloverdale. The church has a rich history as a major ministry in the community. But the church hasn't had a pastor in seven (7) years! I can say that the harvest is truly READY!
